Cool Original have always had a tendency to be “great at parties,” with their self-described flavor of “Dorito” pop. We’ve released their upbeat new album, Infinite Hiatus, on cassette, while our friends at Good Cheer Records have taken care of your other favorite formats. The tracks on the release follow through with the band's past work in that Nate Tucker's ghoulish vocals (not too dissimilar from Elliott Smith) are as hauntingly beautiful as ever. Tucker notoriously delivers lyricism laced with casual self-reflection and brutal honestly without sounding mopey. Any sense of melancholy is erased by the erratic instrumental urgency found on the album. We think it'll brighten up your day as much as it does to ours.
