We are so excited to be working with Heat to release their debut LP, Overnight on January 20th! BrooklynVegan is streaming the single, "Lush" today and said, "the LP finds them expanding their atmospheric VU/JAMC-influenced postpunk sound into poppier territory."
In addition to the M for Montreal Festival in their hometown, the band will be touring Canada and heading to SXSW early next year:
After recently releasing their newest full-length, The Bend in the Break, DANGERS just put out a video for "Kiss With Spit". It was directed by Ricky Lesser and Mitch Wells and BrooklynVegan said it "matches the song’s pissed-off vibes."
The band also just announced East Coast and European dates:

12/28: Montclair, NJ @ The Meat Locker
12/29: Wallingford, CT @ WAMLEG
12/30 (evening): Worcester, MA @ Distant Castle and

In the past, we've compiled *mega* samplers of 60-90+ songs from varying artists and genres and geographies (i.e.: in 2014, 2013, etc.). These take SO much time to put together (securing permission from labels, managers and/or artists to use their songs, getting song files and info and cover art and then assembling everything into one cohesive piece) that I didn't even have time to put it together last year—and for the first time in our existence, we just didn't put out a sampler which was a major bummer. So this year, I selfishly took the easy route and created a sampler solely of music from Topshelf. We've made it available to you via several outlets for your convenience:
True to the roots and original intent that our previous samplers had of sharing and elevating great new music, here's a playlist I made of all of my current favorite songs on SoundCloud. We'll be updating it regularly.
Thanks for listening to, sharing and supporting independent music.

Today is a big day for Ratboys and Dowsing! In addition to kicking off the European leg of their World Tour (with Kevin in tow), their Split EP is also out! We first heard about Ratboys from Dowsing, so it's only fitting that we're luck enough to be releasing a split with both bands. Thank goodness they like each other because this is a crap ton of shows that they are doing together. Oh yeah, they'll also have the split on vinyl and cassette at the shows.
