Peel Dream Magazine's 'Taurus' Now on Vinyl

Announcing! Peel Dream Magazine's Taurus now on vinyl — an expanded version with four beautiful new tracks. Hear new single "Blind Faith" today and pre-order the LP.

Following their acclaimed album Rose Main Reading Room in 2024, Peel Dream Magazine returned a year later with companion release Taurus, spanning a collection of outtakes that further showcased songwriter Joseph Stevens’ introspective, collage-like approach to composition. Now, Peel Dream Magazine has expanded that offering, giving an even wider glimpse into songwriter Joseph Stevens’ process and output from sessions over the years.

The band has followed each of its four albums with a corresponding collection of extras so good it’s hard to consider them b-sides at all. This kind of intention is essential to a band who does more than release records. They’re building an entire world around their music, warm and inviting, filling the space between with contextual layers that make it easy to stay a while.

Inspired by Thom Yorke’s The Eraser, The Books, and other minimalist, glitchy music from that time, “Blind Faith” skips along like a stone across the water with a swift moving rhythm and Stevens’ gentle yet commanding vocals hanging right off the edge.

Previously a cassette-only release, this is the first time 𝘛𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘶𝘴 is available on vinyl. LP variant “pinecone” is an orange + white marble with updated artwork and obi. We still have original Taurus cassettes available, as well as a Bradley Pinkerton-designed t-shirt in the Topshelf webstore.

The band will play a celebratory release show at Zebulon in LA on November 12, presented by KCRW with opener Sunday Mourners. Tickets on sale now!
