'Embark, Embrace' Re-pressed for Topshelf's 20th Anniversary

Earlier this summer we announced our 20th Anniversary Bundle, a 10-LP collection featuring long unavailable and out-of-print releases, starting with Pretend's Tapestry'd Life and later revealing Duck. Little Brother, Duck!'s Don't Take Our Filth Away, Happy Diving's Electric Soul Unity, You Blew It!'s Grow Up, Dude and Keep Doing What You're Doing, and The Jazz June's The Medicine.

Today we're dropping the next title in the 10-LP bundle: Embark, Embrace by Enemies.

Irish four-piece Enemies released their debut album We’ve Been Talking in 2010 and quickly jolted to the forefront of instrumental math-rock, establishing themselves as a crucial touchstone in a then nascent canon. Three years later, the quartet followed up their debut with Embark, Embrace, building on their penchant for call-and-response structures and dueling staccato guitars that seem to entangle one another endlessly. Known primarily as riffing instrumentalists up to that point, Embark, Embrace saw the band experiment with guest features and atmospheric vocals for the first time, further expanding their palette beyond the typical math-rock formula of guitar-guitar-bass-drums, cementing their place in the genre’s pantheon.

20 of the 300 available bundles, selected at random, will include a free 20th anniversary test pressing.

Throughout the rest of the year, we'll reveal a new title every few weeks, with the next drop on October 30, 2026.

Pre-order the bundle now. The bundle will ship in two parts, with the first half shipping in early December. Only shipping to US addresses. Only available on topshelfrecords.com.
