Their / They're / There // Analog Weekend
Over the years, Chicago has been an incubator for some of our favorite bands and albums. Polyvinyl Records is and always has been a huge part of that. Matt Frank, Evan Weiss & Mike Kinsella are a huge part of that, individually — and now are collaboratively as well with Their / They're / There. So today we're really some kind of excited to announce that we're co-releasing the band's new EP entitled Analog Weekend with Polyvinyl on December 10, 2013.

There's been a lot of talk lately about an, ahem, "emo revival". I won't touch on that right now. Instead, I'd like to make light of something far, far more exciting to me: the acknowledgement and willful collaboration between new and established acts alike within this niche. I'm seeing more and more of this and these guys are the standard-bearer for it — with stellar results.

The aforementioned stellar results were recorded directly to tape at Ed Rose’s Black Lodge Recording over a single weekend and feature piano by James Dewees (The Get Up Kids, Reggie and the Full Effect, Coalesce). You can hear "New Blood", a new track from the record, right now over on Pitchfork.
The band will also be briefly hitting the road in support of the album. Dates and info are below:
- Dec 15 - Chicago, IL (EP Release Show) @ Schuba's *
- Dec 18 - Boston, MA @ Great Scott *
- Dec 19 - Brooklyn, NY @ Knitting Factory ^
- Dec 20 - Philadelphia, PA @ First Unitarian Church ^
- Dec 21 - Hamden, CT @ The Space ^
* w/ Mansions
^ w/ Mansions, Birthmark
Analog Weekend is now available for pre-order through us and Polyvinyl.
Thanks everyone!
